FIBERCLASSES

LODGING: We have 2-3 spare bedrooms available for use. There is also lodging available in nearby
Stayton (10 minutes) or Salem (20 minutes). PLEASE let us know if you have any special needs!

TRAVEL:
TRAIN: Amtrak has a station in Salem. Please let us know of your arrival time so we can meet you, as there is no
car rental agency at the train station.

AIR FROM PORTLAND: You can fly into Portland International Airport (1-1/2 hours north of us) and either rent a
car or take the HUT bus into Salem where we can meet you. (CLICK HERE for the Hut schedules.)

AIR FROM EUGENE: You can also fly into Mahlon Sweet Field (1-1/2 hours south of us). This is a smaller airport
but also has rental cars available. It has no shuttle service outside the Eugene area.

WHAT TO BRING: Prepare to get dirty! Bring clothes to work in and a clean change of clothes to
change into when we're done for the day. Bring comfortable shoes as you will be working on a concrete floor.
We will provide you with towels, soap, and shampoo to clean up with, unless you have your own you wish to
bring. Prepare for the weather; there is no heat or air conditioning in the sorting shed. We suggest you dress in
layers to accommodate the temperature. Saturday evening is yours to enjoy, whether you want to drive in to
Stayton or Salem to shop, sightsee, minutes of the beautiful Cascade Mountains, Silver Falls State Park, and a
way, is only a hop over the Columbia River from our own Pendleton Woolen Mills!) If you're a visitor to Oregon,
you might want to consider scheduling an extra day for sightseeing!

*Classes with less than 4 registrants will be cancelled and deposits returned or class time rescheduled.
