SHEARING IN THE WILLAMETTE
VALLEY!

Have a great shearer? Let us
know so we can post it here!

We are now the No. 1 single user of American alpaca fiber in the U.S.A!

We now have sorted approximately 18,000 lbs, have about 18,000 lbs of fiber in our sorting shed waiting to be sorted and are
still expecting another 14,000 before the end of the season.  The first of our sorting classes will begin soon, and we have
approved the design of this year's blankets and are eagerly anticipating their completion!  Last year's blankets are GONE, so I
hope everyone got what they wanted.  We anticipate taking pre-orders the end of next month or so, so stay tuned for that!

You'll note some changes to our website:

-- A new menu layout which (I hope) will make for easier navigation to our entire site.

-- Peter's blog page, "Sorting It All Out," on which he will give his thoughts about different things he finds in his sorting
adventures.

-- Publications, which includes news and magazine articles regarding the Alpaca Blanket Project.

-- An updated ABP Products page, including the design CADs of the new designs for this year's blankets.

-- An updated Supporter Page that hopefully will load faster and crash less <fingers crossed!>.

-- And
coming soon, a fiber payment calculator located on Your Fiber Info page that you can use to calculate an estimate of not
only this year's contribution but also what you can anticipate for next year!

I hope everyone finds this changes helpful and useful.  As always, I'm open to your comments and suggestions!

Another change is to our Membership Agreement.  To those who have already sent in your signed ABP Membership
Agreements -- THANK YOU!  An amendment form was sent for you to keep with the original.  To those of you who have NOT
sent in your signed Membership Agreement yet, the updated form is available on the Membership page.

Finally, be sure and check out our Alpaca Blanket Project page on
Facebook.  There you will find pictures from our fiber
collection funs in Oregon and Washington as well as other farm news.

As always, we appreciate your participation and support of the Project and welcome your calls and emails!  We will do our best
to continue to bring value to your alpaca fleece as we continue to grow in the US alpaca fiber industry.
